Policy Document

Warranty Coverage

MVMHardware warrants that all furniture mechanisms supplied under confirmed purchase orders are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions. Our standard warranty period is 12 months from the date of shipment.

Coverage Applies To

  • Structural failure of stamped steel and zinc alloy die-cast components under rated load conditions
  • Functional failure of motion hardware (tilt mechanisms, recliner linkages, lift-top fittings, hinge systems) within specified cycle-life ratings
  • Surface treatment defects — including delamination, blistering, or adhesion failure in nickel plating, zinc plating, or powder coating — that appear within 90 days of shipment
  • Components that fail to meet the agreed specification documented in the purchase order or approved sample

Coverage Does Not Apply To

  • Damage resulting from improper installation, modification, or use beyond rated load or cycle specifications
  • Normal wear on friction surfaces and adjustable components over extended use
  • Corrosion resulting from exposure to environments beyond the product's rated conditions (e.g., direct salt-water exposure on standard-grade surface treatments)
  • Damage caused during freight handling after the goods have left our facility and passed inspection

If your end-market involves coastal or high-humidity environments, ask us about our enhanced surface treatment options before placing your order — the standard zinc plating spec is not designed for prolonged salt-air exposure.

Pre-Shipment Process

Quality Inspection Before Shipment

Every order leaves our facility after passing a two-stage inspection process. First, 100% functional testing on the production line — every mechanism is cycled and load-checked before it moves to packing. Second, a pre-shipment audit covering dimensional tolerances, surface finish, and packaging integrity.

We hold SGS and ISO 9001:2015 certification, and third-party inspection reports are available on request for orders where your internal compliance process requires them. If you need a specific inspection protocol — AQL sampling level, particular test parameters — tell us at the order stage and we'll build it into the production schedule.

This matters for your warranty exposure downstream: goods that pass our two-stage process have a documented inspection record, which simplifies any claim resolution if a field issue does arise.

Claims Process

How to Submit a Warranty Claim

If you receive goods with a defect covered under this warranty, contact us at [email protected] with the following:

  • 1 Your purchase order number and shipment date
  • 2 A description of the defect, including which component or function is affected
  • 3 Photos or video showing the defect clearly
  • 4 Quantity of affected units and whether the issue is isolated or batch-wide

We will acknowledge your claim within 2 business days and provide a resolution path — replacement units, credit toward a future order, or a partial refund — based on the nature and scale of the defect. We do not require you to ship defective goods back to China as a precondition for claim processing; for small quantities, photo documentation is sufficient. For larger batch claims, we may request a sample return for root-cause analysis.

We've found that most field issues trace back to one of three causes: installation torque outside spec, load conditions beyond the mechanism's rating, or a surface treatment mismatch with the end environment. When you submit a claim, the more context you give us about how the product was installed and used, the faster we can resolve it.

Returns

Return Conditions

Returns are accepted under the following conditions:

Defective Goods

Units confirmed defective under warranty terms may be returned at our cost, or we will issue replacement units without requiring a return, at our discretion based on quantity and logistics practicality.

Order Errors

If goods shipped do not match the confirmed purchase order specification (wrong model, wrong finish, wrong quantity), we will arrange collection and replacement at no cost to you.

Buyer-Initiated Returns (Non-Defective)

Returns of correctly supplied, non-defective goods require prior written authorization. Authorized returns must be in original, undamaged packaging and are subject to a restocking fee. Return freight costs are the buyer's responsibility for non-defective returns. Custom-produced items (OEM/ODM tooling orders, non-standard finishes, custom configurations) are not eligible for buyer-initiated return.

All return requests must be initiated within 30 days of the shipment date. Claims or return requests submitted after this window will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Legal Terms

Limitation of Liability

MVMHardware's liability under this warranty is limited to the value of the defective goods as invoiced. We are not liable for consequential damages, including but not limited to lost profits, project delays, or downstream warranty costs incurred by the buyer's customers, arising from product defects.

Product specifications published on this website are for reference. Binding specifications are those documented in the confirmed purchase order and approved pre-production samples.

Jurisdiction

Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Disputes arising from purchase transactions will be resolved through good-faith negotiation in the first instance. Where negotiation does not resolve the matter, disputes will be submitted to the jurisdiction of the courts of Guangdong Province, China, unless otherwise agreed in writing in the purchase contract.
